Dubmate ("we", "us") is a browser extension and a companion website at dubmate.co for switching audio, subtitles, and playback across two linked video tabs. This policy covers both, and applies to anyone who visits dubmate.co or installs the extension.

Across the website and the extension, we never collect the pages you visit, page titles, or full URLs — the one exception is a compatibility report you choose to send with a page address attached, covered below.
Your account is identified by the email you sign in with. We don't store your real name or Google profile photo — Dubmate generates a random display name and an initials avatar instead.
Google sign-in is used only to verify who you are — we don't request access to Drive, contacts, or anything else in your Google account, and we don't keep the sign-in tokens beyond creating your session.
With an account signed in, we record seconds watched per day with two tabs linked. It powers your watch-time history on the account page and confirms you're within the refund window. Kept while your account exists.
If the extension can't detect a video player, or you send a compatibility report, we log the site's domain (e.g. example.com) with a random device ID, so we can fix it. If you tick the optional box to attach the exact page address to your report, we log that too — only when you choose to. Not linked to your name, email, or account.
Payments are handled by Polar.sh as merchant of record — they collect your payment details and billing address; we never see your card number. We keep the resulting records (plan, subscription status, order and gift codes) while you have access, and afterward as required by bookkeeping law.
Support conversations are stored in PostHog and mirrored to our team's Telegram for faster response.
We don't sell your data. The providers below act on our behalf to run Dubmate:

Some things are strictly necessary and always on: staying signed in, remembering a referral code, and the support chat linking your messages to your account.
Website analytics — page views, session recordings, heatmaps, and error tracking — only runs after you consent. Accept, decline, or change your choice anytime via the cookie icon in the corner of the page.
These tools only observe dubmate.co — never what you watch inside the extension.
Your overlay position, hotkeys, panel settings, and the device ID used for Site Diagnostics stay on your device — stored locally by the extension, not visible to us remotely.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to analytics processing.
Manage cookie consent via the icon on our website, remove local extension data from your browser's extension settings, or email support@dubmate.co for anything account-related — we'll act on it within a reasonable time.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — encrypted connections, access controls, and minimal data collection — to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy as Dubmate evolves. Significant changes will be announced via the extension or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
